The 2024 FIA Formula 1 World Championship calendar has been announced by Formula 1 and approved by the World Motor Sport Council, with 24 races taking place from March 2 to December 8, beginning in Bahrain and finishes in Abu Dhabi. This will be the 75th running of the Formula One World Championship.
The calendar is part of Formula 1’s plan to move towards more regionalization of the calendar, which will reduce logistical burdens and increase sustainability of the season
Following the announcement of the 2024 calendar, Formula 1 President and CEO, Mr. Domenicali said, “I am proud to announce a calendar with 24 races for Formula 1 fans around the world to enjoy. There is a great demand for Formula 1 and this calendar balances traditional races with new and existing venues, and I am grateful for the support of all promoters and partners. We will continue our journey towards a more sustainable calendar in the coming years, as we continue to streamline operations in line with our Net Zero 2030 commitments. With the addition of the Las Vegas Grand Prix in 2023, our fans can expect even more excitement next season.“
